Hello, question for business owners in Abu Dhabi. While renewing my establishment card, I got the alert about my annual subscription for eChannels nearing completion, with the suggestion to renew it to avoid the process of separating services from my account on the smart services system of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship.
I reached out to typing centers and they confirm this is not mandatory, however I wanted to ask if someone can please clarify pros / cons of renewing it vs not. Cost is around 1,100 AED and I wanted to check whether to proceed with it or not. Thanks in advance!
did anyone figure out how to renew echannel, i dont see any option in smartservices.icp.gov also some ppl tell me that you dont need to renew if you dont have to hire ppl or renew anyone's visa that year, and that u can renew echannel only before when you need to do that, as there is no other purpose for it

So i went through the process of renewing my license, basically 1 or so week before your echannel expire you will see a banner on smartservices.icp.gov telling you to renew, you only need to renew it (1151 Dhs) if you plan to use any of the e-services in the platform online if not, no need to do it, do it just before you will be using the platform for something.
Also, for renewing license, after you renew it on TAMM, you have to renew establishment card, I think its better to do it for three years. The price they will take is (555 Dhs + 253 Dhs for modification, so 808 dhs in total), and you will find it by scrolling down on smartservices.icp.gov to the bottom, by clicking on gurantors and establishment -> establishment card -> private sector and free zone and then clicking on renew.
They will ask for Unified Number, which you will find by downloading UAEICP Mobile App and clicking on Residencies and then clicking on three dots next to your name, and then clicking on "View Current and Old files information" and then you will see a unified number field, IT WILL BE A 7 digit number. Also even if they make Unified number field optional, even then enter your unified number anyways and investor mobile number (so ur mobile number) or else they will return the request, also upload the license copy again, even though it shows "the system has found the license" and do the same with passport, emirates id copy both sides, or else they will return it asking for it again. you can leave MOA and other optional fields if you are solo owner.

Also my establishment card status says approved, but when i print the establishment card in the request it still shows old establishment card, i guess i have to wait until current establishment card expires in few days, for the new one to show
doing it early, is it not advantageous as the establishment card expiry starts from the day you renew, so you will lose the days if u renew early, same doesnt apply to renewing license early

The establishment card just updated but to view it go to smartservices.icp.gov , click on your profile and then click on the establsihment card section as shown in image so took like 2 hours after seeing "approved" in status to see the update happen.

Hey , i will need to renew my license in few months, so i was wondering how to go about renewing establishment card, i think license renewal can be done on TAMM, but what about establishment card? i went on smartservices.icp.gov and i dont see a option for establishment card renewal. tyy
EDIT- the establishment card can be renewed by scrolling down below the dashboard in smartservices.icp.gov there is a bunch of services, click on guarantor & establishment -> establishment card -> private sector and free .... -> renew
Still dont know where the option to renew echannel is, will update this when I try to renew both after couple of months
also have the same question about echannel renewal, not sure where that option is on the smart services portal. someone did tell me we dont need to do echannel renewal if we dont have to renew our emirates id that year, but maybe establishment card renewal will ask for echannel renewal?
ty for the picture, I see the same exact option in my portal, only the cancel echannel option is available. does the option to renew echannel appear only after the echannel expires? mine will expire in few months so this is my first time doing the renew.
